Before I moved away from Los Angeles I was driving to and from work through Skid Row. It is as its name presents - the stain from the underside of downtown. I called this the soul-sucking drive. Happy to rid myself of this awful sight and breathe in the clean air of Vancouver, BC, I was able to bring clarity through the dense smog that hovers over the city; LA you are not so bad, you're beautiful in your own dirty way.
